Members stickboymusic
Hello one and all - im trying something new.... in order to try and fuel some creativity im setting myself a little challenge to write music and songs UNDER one minute long. Im not sure just how much worth the songs themselves have but they are really helping to just get some ideas out there... without the need to have to think of verse after verse i can do these super quick (sometimes made up as i go along.) If any of them are working out i can then go make to them at a later date and make them into full songs Heres what i have done in the last few days http://soundcloud.com/stickboy/sets/there-in-a-minute/
Members bee3
I think this is a good idea... I've done something similar actually where I'll put down a quick 1 to 1.5 minute idea and send to my brother and engineer to see if they think it is worth pursuing. I really like where you're going with Ditty in C. I'm a sucker for harmony.
Members rockinrobby
I like little ditties? But I like um big too. Different but both good.

Members LCK
Nice snippets. Very nice. I think it's good to set limitations on oneself; it helps you develop and hone your talent. For me, though, I'd still like to hear how you'd develop some of these snippets into actual songs. LCK
Members DWD Guitar
...I love writing or feel more comfortable doing interlude type stuff around the 1-2 minute mark. i really enjoy trying to "score" certain scenes from books I'm reading so they usually end up being shorter. however, the last couple months been trying to expand a little bit. so ya, short songs are def worth trying! better to leave the listener wanting more! Members Marshal
Exercise your muscles then. But I was dissapointed when I listened to your first one. I wanted MORE. It'd make a great first verse to something.

Members grace_slick
I do just love your music!!! Even from the first notes it takes me away somewhere...somewhere nice. Stranger...I definitely wanted more...it could go on as a "normal" song definitely and be amazing. I like the kinda upbeat poppy-ish feel to Follow the Road Home...really nice. Ditty in C reminds me of someone sitting on a log by a pond with their instruments, just kinda dangling their legs... We Destroyed Rock & Roll...I like it a lot, but I feel it needs to go on for longer too...LOVE the guitar tune / chords... Under a minute...wow. I might try that when I can write songs again. Members tbry
Stranger sounds like Lenny Scaper style and sound... Ditty in C sounded like Heart and soul...
