what does a rat sound like with a hi-speed chip?

I'm not sure what it means when people tell me the 308 has a low slew rate

I think I was told it results in a muddier high end

I do believe that the biggest factors for tone in a fuzz are

-- Pre-distortion frequency response

-- Gain and transfer function

-- Post distiortion frequency response

-- Slew rate of the chips/switch speed of the diodes.

in that order.

I feel that slight changes in some caps can make a much greater difference in tonality than slew rate.
