Members Neon Soul
There is a cheap Ibanez WH10 on ebay and is described as broken. My question is can it be fixed? It is described as "The pot crackles hideously; The treadle is cracked right across its width, just beneath the logo plaque." How hard would it be to fix? Members mahoganycentral
all depends how you are with repairs, obv the pot is nothing - just replace it, but i'd want to see the crack up close and decide from there...have you got any good very close up pics off the guy yet? if not i'd start there, unless its so cheap you dont mind. most things are fixable, its all a matter of your time and effort - buying tools etc i guess:)to me, repairing gear is always cooler than sticking it in the landfill. you can often make it better / customise it to your taste (different value pot etc) and drill and bolt some hardcore fixing straps to the treadplate...might look cool
Members radonballoon
you could possibly do a rehouse if not.
Members Neon Soul
Update- The pot will be easy enough, the crack is what worried me. He says the crach runs underneath the actual foot pedal part fron side to side. Some glue and maybe some strips of plastic or metal on the underside of the pedal for support and it'll work again I reckon. I'm gonna go for it Thanks for the help.
