Members tillabreakodawn
Hi All Ok, who has cheap but good pots and capacitors? Both guitar and amp stuff. I end up doing most of the neighborhood repair around here so I'm always looking. I have no respect for overpriced stuff. I got some Korean input jacks last year that were hands down the best jacks I've even seen and about 50 cents apiece. The pots in my squier are great pots. Nothing wrong with them at all. This kind of thing is what I'm looking for. Good performance, low price. Everything I'm seeing around the web is ludicrously overpriced. I need a sack full! 6 or 8 dollars apiece is totally out of the question. And who has big heavy good caps for amps, decent?? A good rt angle 1/4" plugs too would be nice. Help help I see then cheap on ebay but they are all postage theives! Poor boy old hippie mechanic here. There has to be a ravel in this noose! I wrote to good ol Newark, who sells pots from 27 cents to 27 bucks but for what I wanted they didn't even write me back. yours, Scott

Otherwise shipping is really expensive, but mouser's good from what I hear.
Members bt2513
here are some jacks at the bottom of the page... they might have the other things you need as well. If you order in quantity, I'm not sure who would have better prices than a place like this or Mouser. If you want quality amp caps I would look at other places first... http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/SearchResults.asp?N=0&Ntk=Primary&Ntt=1%2F4+jack&sid=46A9358026F9617F

Members wagdog
Second the recommendation for Mouser, although they can be pricey on things like pots. If you order enough caps they can be worthwhile. Good supply and great online ordering system with accurate stock count. This guy: http://www.danssmallpartsandkits.net/ is well known in ham radio building circles, I've ordered from him quite a few times. Web page is a little funky, only accepts mail orders (i.e. can't order online), but he has NEVER let me down. Good prices - worth a look.

Members aortizjr
I have to give another recommendation for Mouser. Can't go wrong with Xycon for many things. Their pots are relatively inexpensive as well, depending on what you get. But Alpha pots are typically good enough. For caps, depending on the size, check out tedweber.com. For cans and filter caps, his prices are hard to beat. For jacks/plugs I try to go with Neutrik NYS series stuff. Allelectronics.com has some decent stuff too for really cheap.
