Super Glue finish fill

where's the ding and in what material? pics?

 

 

It's on the forearm bevel on a WD body. It was a 2nd. Finish is :idk: Poly probably. The spot is so small that It doesn't show well in a pic. It seems to go to the wood though. The ding is the V shape in the pics.

i assume you're not planning on spot-painting over the ding after the repair? if you are, wood glue works well for filling dings. otherwise, i have seen such a repair done with gel superglue. you need to get it and some of the spray that makes it dry faster and kinda fill it in in thin layers

CA glue will fill the clear, but won't (obviously) replace the color. You'll need to put something on the bottom of the dent to color-match, before you do a drop fill with CA.

 

I prefer to use thin CA in multiple layers, but I avoid using accelerator when doing drop fills; it can cause hazing.
