Ibanez SZ

hello. I have a an ibanez sz transparent green guitar. love the guitar put some duncans in it and sounds and plays great except for a couple little problems but mainly one. I gig with it every weekend. I usually use this guitar and my strat and split the night with them. anywho from sweating and a lot of playing my bridge is begging to corrode quite nastily where i rest my hand and palm mute which sucks. the pickup covers are a bit too but the doesnt bother me much. But now the low E string is starting to sound dead with loss of tone due to I believe the corrosion on the bridge around that area. Anyone have this problem? I do try to wipe it down often and oil it up but it needs a new bridge but idont want the same problem in another year or so. is there any other bridge that will go on that or an upgrade? I sent ibanez an email i'll see if they reply. Wish they'd use some good metal bridge parts. no problems on my strat just discoloring of the bridge where my hand rests but no corrosion at all just the gold finish wearing off which i dont care about and ive had that twice as long and played it at twice as many shows. but any info would be great thanks.

Maybe you could try wearing some cloth wristbands. They might help to wick some of the sweat away from your hands.
