Members FenderStrat62
I could really use the schematic for Ampeg's afp-2, their 2 button footswitch. I lost the footswitch for my reverberocket in a tornado, and building one seems to be a better solution than spending $50. Thanks in advance for any help. Members Poppeseed
I can't find any specific evidence against this, but it's probably just like any other footswitch.A TRS Cable (tip, ring, sleeve) with the switches between the tip/sleeve and ring/sleeve as in T /tip----switch--\nS -sleeve----------|R ing---switch--/Hope that makes sense. Members FenderStrat62
Yeah, it makes some sense. Thanks a lot. I'm still open to any and all schematics.
Members FenderStrat62
Okay, i've got one more question. Do you all think that a fender 2 button would work with my amp?
Members dolly123
Here's a link to an earlier post i had about about footswitches http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1717180There's a question about diodes & resistors so i built another footswitch useing resistors but i could'nt get it to work, tried diodes worked perfect. Members mrbrown49
I have the three button version. I'll see what it looks like on the inside when I get home.
Members FenderStrat62
^Don't the three buttons have one input for channel and reverb then another input for chorus? If that's the case then it should be perfect minus the extra input and button.

Mine is for a superocket. Love these amps!

Members FenderStrat62
Yeah, that makes sense, i think. Is that without LEDs, or are the diodes you have listed the LEDs?
Members mrbrown49
Yeah, that makes sense, i think. Is that without LEDs, or are the diodes you have listed the LEDs? Oh sorry. The diodes in the diagram are the leds. Its a pretty simple deal.
Members FenderStrat62
Yeah, it is quite simple, i've just never built anything from a schematic before, haha. But, i'm good with electronics, so the actual wiring will be a very small deal, it's just making sure i get everything right. I appreciate everything. EDIT: The more I look at it, the more I confuse myself, haha. What will I need as far as cable goes to efficiently wire everything up?

Members mronck
hello guys, i just got an ampegs svt 5 and i'm looking for a footswitch as well. The ampeg AFP 2 would fit my amp but i'd like to try building it on my own as well. @nickcaveman could you possibly send me the same PM you sent to fenderstra62 if you sent him a better schematics? greetings from Austria, matt

I don't need it, although it works fine (it is essentially unused). The shipping might be prohibitive to Austria, so I don't expect you to be interested. It also has no LED, so it very simple. I did take a photo of the inside if you'd find that helpful, but it is very simple.
Members Sarge79
Hi, I found this thread searching online for a schematic to the Ampeg AFP-2 footswitch. I have a different brand 2-button TRS footswitch that won't operate my SVP-Pro. Not sure what's up.... but I want to compare the wiring in my switch to the Ampeg, see if there's a difference I can correct. I can handle basic soldering but the diagram above by mrBrown doesn't make sense to me. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Members Belva
Interesting thread. I have a Hohner Marlin with reverb, drive and chorus. But this one has 3 separate jacks. One for each. I'd like to combine them all into one instead of building 3 singles. The easiest way would be to hardwire it with a common ground. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
