Members senor-penguin
So a couple of days ago, I received my blue voodoo 60 (please, no hate) It's my first tube amp and I didn't know that if you dont plug it into a cab, you shouldn't turn it on. I turned it on and the light was on for a good 1/2 second and then it was off. Now I have a cab and plugged it in and now it wont turn on. I checked the fuse and it was good, do you think it might be the tubes? - Patrick
Members MadSkillzMan
tubes, output transformer...then again some of those blue voodos dont even send much current through the tubes (look and see if theres christmas lights behind them, no joke) the older ones used full current...and im hearing some of the newer ones do Then again amps would usually last longer than half a second im my experiences..you'd see the tube plates glow red first

Members MadSkillzMan
Aint much you can do if you dont have another set of tubes, another amp to try them in, or an ancient tube tester
Members senor-penguin
Are you sure that it might be the tubes, it wont even light up, couldnt it be the transformer or something?
Members The Riffer
Search the pcb for a fuse labeled "ht". It protects the outputxfrmr in case of catastrophe. check the fuse with a meter. Visual is not good enough.
