Members ThudMuffin
Broke my budda wah Actually, the pot just came out of it's little slot. No biggie. But shall I just slap it back in? There's plenty of movement in both directions left on the pot, so it seems to me, that if I "skipped a tooth", it wouldn't sound the same (i.e. always be a little higher or lower). Is there a way to put this in properly? Or just try a few different ways and see what's what?

Just make sure you leave enough play on the teeth so it has room to travel.

Yah, it's that simple to just get it working again, but there's a few diff. ways it will go back in, because of the large amount of travel left in the pot in both directions. That is, I could bottom out the pot, bottom out the wah, then put it in, or bring the pot up one or two teeth with the wah still bottomed, etc. This would give the pot a "higher" starting point.. Thus changing the sound???
Members P. Wallace
Put it back in and adjust to your preference.
Members PanaDP
Put it back in and adjust to your preference. Yeah, it seems like a good opportunity to improve the wah for your uses. You may find you like it put in differently than it comes stock.
Members Bubbalou
I don't think I would bottom out the pot when the pedal is bottomed out. There would be a chance of breaking the pot when You slam the pedal down. I favor 1 or 2 teeth from bottom of pot when pedal is bottomed out. Yah, I think that's maybe what happened, but it topped out on the upswing, pulling the pot from it's bracket. But... they wouldn't do it that way at Budda, would they? I went with one tooth from topping out, and there's definitely no risk of bottoming or topping out now, but it's for sure a little "darker". It's fine, I s'pose, but I wonder if any other budda wahs have run into this...
Members WRGKMC
theres usually a littel play at either end. The pot can usually be turned a bit so you can voice the wah to your liking. If it has a switch at one end of travel, make sure you have play for it to operate.
