Members 6StringSling
I recently purchased an Ibanez Artcore AG75 that had a damaged headstock. It had been broken and repaired but the repair was only functional, not cosmetic: I've finished the cosmetic repairs to my satisfaction but I've never done anything like this before. The question I have is what do I use to polish the wood to a high gloss? I was thinking that maybe Craftsman Paste Wax would do the job.
Members tedmich
Polish the wood or the finish ON the wood? Wood finish is plastic; you can polish it up well with Novus plastic polish (#1 and #2) using a soft cotton muslin wheel on a drill press. Tap Plastic (Carmen Dr) has this stuff whats up with the neck? Funny town name...Beaverton ...kidding I'm in PDX
Members Belva
If you've refinished the headstock check out reranch for polishing tips. BTW: lived in Tigard for a few years & worked in Beaverton. Tell 'em all that the Pac NW is GOD's country & he plays a Les Paul.
