Members WhiteDragon
Ok, I have this Epiphone LesPaul guitar which is generally my beater. I just got an idea to sand it down. Here is a pic of what it looks like now and what it hopefully will turn out to be like. So, should I go for it or am I being inadequate? And yeah, I have sanded a guitar before. Members Daddy-O
Give it a shot but have a backup plan because chances are the wood underneath that paint isn't going to look very good.
Members WhiteDragon
I see, thank you. I tried to sand under the pickup rings and you're right, the wood looks not that exciting.
Members Rob14
Yeah, Daddy-O is right, there won't be a nice flame type top under the paint, that's why it's painted. You will probably find a multi piece body from poorly matched grain patterns.
