Pickup Polarity: P90 and Humbucker

I'm doing a first time wiring of a modified Les Paul with a P90 Neck and Humbucker at the the bridge. Do I need to concern myself with the polarity of the P-90?

Since youre using a combination of a single coil and a humbucher its going to sound funkey in the middel position no matter what you do. Just try it both ways and see which sounds better to you. Normally the dark wire will be ground so maybe try that first. You may also need to replace the pot with a 300K for the countour and volume levels coming from the single can be properly blended with the HB. With a 500K you may have a major volume dropoff with the pot turned and they can make adjusting for tonaly changes between the two difficult.
