Members phreddy
Hey Guys I need some help. I need to fill and redrill some holes to match my pickguard. What is the best material to fill the holes with? Round toothpicks? Super Glue? Scott
Members Belva
Round toothpicks and good old Elmer's glue. To be completely honest, I never bother. If you can't see the unused holes, they aren't there. And what if you want to put the stock pickguard back on? The only time I do it is if one overlaps the other by a little bit. Members WRGKMC
Yes to what Custom Tele said. If the holes are visable with the new pickguard on then they will look like hell no matter what you do. The only thing you can do is mix color with the glue to match the body or isf its a lacquered guitar you can use lacquer sticks that match the bodycolor and dab the holes, then buff them smooth. Members mrbrown49
Tooth picks and wood glue are my choice, or a mixture of sawdust and glue. But as has been said I would only worry about it if you can see the holes, and even then a filled hole will probably look worse than an an empty one unless you are really talented repairing finishes. The only case I'd really bother is if the old holes are really close to the new holes.
