Members maddnotez
I have an older Jackson guitar where my floyd has crapped the bed. So I got a replacement floyd and it works great, only the lock pegs underneath were a little longer and I can not pull up on the trem fully without it hitting the guitar body underneath. I figured a simple solution would be to just route out a couple of inches. Is this safe? Have the router ready to go.
Members Belva
I can't see why not. Unless the body is real thin. If it weren't safe, IMO, the replacement bridge wouldn't be worth installing in the first place. Is it possible to just use a forstner bit to take a small amount of material off right underneath where you need more room?

Members Alan Roberts
Just extend the original route to accomodate the new trem's saddle insert screws and keep the same depth, you'll be fine.
