Members Minning Around
But not in the typical way.I'm removing the middle pickup, so I'll have a neck and a bridge pickup; one three-way switch, and one push-pull volume pot that will be used for changing phase. Just one volume pot and no tone pot. How do I wire it up? I think one pickup goes to the three-way switch and the other goes to the push-pull part of the volume pot (the upper six lug box, not the pot itself), then on to the three-way. Then the three-way out wire goes to the volume pot. Is that correct? If so I have another question:The push-pull pot has the box on top with the six lugs to solder to (this is not the pot itself, it's the box above the pot). How is that box wired up? I think the corner lugs are crossed, top to bottom and side to side, like an X. Then one of the pickups attaches to one of the middle lugs on one side while the lug immediately opposite that lug is the out, which goes to the three-way switch. Sorry, that's so complicated. Just trying to be clear and accurate.

Members Minning Around
Uh, I don't think so.In that diagram the pot that is not the push-pull has a "V" on it. WTF? Why is that? The push-pull should be the volume pot, not the tone pot.And on a Tele the volume is indeed next to the pickup selector switch just as in the diagram. And in the diagram the push-pull is in the Tele tone position.Plus, I have a book on guitar wiring that says the wires on the volume push-pull should cross in an X...but it doesn't say anything about where the pickups attach. That's why I'm asking here. Confused.

The diagram shows you how to wire the switch for In phase and out of phase. and switch pickups with a three way switch. That one is in series though. If you want a parallel pickup configyou can find it here. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7440801/Guitar%20Wiring/Tele3-WayHOoP.jpgAll you do is wire the same wires to the switch if the push pull is on the volume pot. I do suggest you go for a series parallel instead of a reverse phase. Reverse phase is really thin sounding. Simply swap the hot and ground wires of either pickuparound and check it for yourself. Push pull pots suck too. They are always wobbely and loose feeling. You're better off using a 4 or 5 way toggel switch to get your different wiring configs
