Phil O'Keefe
Please, oh please let there be an editable MIDI notation display! (Not holding my breath on this one! ) And please, oh please, don't make us have to upgrade all of our plug ins again! And please, oh please, upgrade the rest of the Digisuite plug ins like you did with EQIII. Please oh please, give us more I/O for LE!!! Two 002's or a 002R with a 002 would work... I'm sure I'll think of other stuff to beg and plead for later... more tracks for LE wouldn't hurt, but I can get by with the way it is now. Members ArrMatey
since I have the digi 001, i can't upgrade past a certain point. which sucks but then, the latest versions are not always the best.
Members EngineGuitarist
7 will be buggy i'd guess. is this going to be a Tiger only affair for mac users? 6 was buggy too. I've been putting off buying 6.9 but now with the free upgrade i might. and just wait a while to go to 7. ADC on hardware I/O would be awesome. more busses and tracks for LE would be nice. definitely update the digirack plugs honestly, I'm waiting to see what is going to be replacing HD. HD has been out for quite a while now, it's inevitable.
Members where02190
Like the 001, upgrade support for the M-box is lurking closwer every day.....
Phil O'Keefe
Are you thinking MBox I will be incompatible with PT LE 7 Where? From one report I have read, it sounded like the driver requirements for MBox I and II are quite similar... it would seem like a very bad move for them to discontinue it at this time - at least to me. My guess? The current LE hardware lineup (except maybe the MBox II) will lose support at version 8, or maybe 8.4. But that's pure conjecture on my part. Members where02190
Just a suspicion Phil, and I agree it would be a bad thing, but from a marketing standpoint (like when the 001 ended at 6.4) it's not. Force users who are already hooked to sidegrade to stay compatible with the latest version. This would be digi's way....
Members wooden
Another reason why Im going m powered!
Members Geoff Grace
I'm happy to read that Digidesign is continuing to improve upon the MIDI and virtual instrument side of things. While I also hope they pay a little more attention to bugs, none of the ones I've experienced have been any more than mildly annoying in the Pro Tools application itself. (The Digi CoreAudio driver, however, has been problematic.) Best, Geoff

Members Matt Hepworth
Well, the Mbox just got a revamp to Mbox 2. The old one probably won't be compatible with PT 7.0.

Yeah I thought about that just after I wrote that post, they will discontinue a hole line of interfaces when the new m audio's line goes out... true
Members wooden
Im thinking of something else though... The "pro tools discontinued" interfaces would be easier to sell because you can always sell it to some one using another daw, but a digidesign's discontinued interface could be another story... Phil O'Keefe
Well, you could use a Digi 002R with other software too.... just use the ASIO drivers. The downside is that new ASIO drivers won't be forthcoming for new Operating Systems once a product is no longer supported, when it comes to that.
