Members seaneldon Posted December 9, 2005 Members Share Posted December 9, 2005 so after a long night of gallons of cheap red wine (and convincing some drunk broad i'd JUST MET to get the same telefunken tattoo as me even though she had no idea what it means), the band decided it was time to write up our stage rider for our january tour. we figured there's gotta be at least one club that will deliver SOME of it: Bashi-Bazouk Tech Rider Winter 2006 SOUND AND STAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR PREPARATION OF BASHI-BAZOUK Bashi-Bazouk (further mentioned as "The World's Greatest Band") routinely sets up in the crowd while the band before them is playing on stage, and does not play on the stage. The World's Greatest Band will require sound staff to locate them wherever they choose to set up and begin working as soon as possible. FRONT OF HOUSE CONSOLE Console must be relocated directly next to the World's Greatest Band, so they can fix any mistakes made by sound staff. Minimum of 24 (24) channels with at least sixteen (16) XLR mic preamps. Neve, Trident preferred. FRONT OF HOUSE OUTBOARD 1. Crane Song Ibis and/or Manley Massive Passive Equalizers 2. Dangerous 2-Bus connected to our 1/4" 2-Track tape machine. Venue must locate and supply tape. Quantegy GP9 1/4" x 1200' required. 3. Other cool stuff, please FRONT OF HOUSE SPEAKER SYSTEM Speakers must be capable of delivering 150dB of clean full-range sound throughout entire listening area. In most venues, the World's Greatest Band requires at 10.2 Dynaudio surround sound with wireless control. 10.2 means a subwoofer on the ceiling. Get to work, folks. MONITORS Simply put, the Greatest Band Ever play exceedingly well together and need no monitors. They know exactly what they're doing. MICROPHONES 1. Inside Kick drum - Electro-Voice RE20 2. Outside Kick drum - Neumann U47FET 3. Snare drum - Beyerdynamic M88TG 4. Rack toms - Josephson e22S 5. Floor tom - Sennheiser MD421 6. Overheads - Telefunken ELA M251 matched pair 7. Stage left Guitar - Royer R-122 on Bassman cabinet, Beyerdynamic M160 on Avatar cabinet 8. Stage right Guitar - Coles 4038 on AC30, BLUE Dragonfly on Orange cabinet 9. 4x10 bass cabinet - Neumann U47 tube distant, Audio Technica AT4033 close 10. 1x15 bass cabinet - Leave your ear right in front of it for duration of set 11. Lead vocal - Sennheiser MD431 II 12. Stage right guitar vocal - Sennheiser MD441 13. Bass vocal - Electro-Voice RE20 14. Room mics - Neumann M49 twenty (20) feet away on either side of band, set to omni-directional pattern DIRECT INPUT BOXES Four (4) total. Bass with XLR, three synthesizers with 1/4", one stage left, one center, one stage right. Groove Tubes The Brick or DITTO preferred. If any of the requirements cannot be met, please contact us two (2) weeks in advance to make arrangements for your venue to purchase what we need. Most of this stuff is killer investments, anyway! Members seaneldon Posted December 9, 2005 Author Members Share Posted December 9, 2005 yeah we were at the bar upstairs from the studio and she asked if we were the jerks making all the noise. we showed her the studio, she asked about it, i showed her the tattoo, and she went nuts. i'm calling her tomorrow to tell her which artist did mine. this could be the funniest thing of 2005. microphone related funniest thing, anyway.
