Members stage7 Posted September 1, 2006 Members Share Posted September 1, 2006 Do you mean playback monitoring during recording or afterwards? What it sounds like to me is that you're saying the beat is inconsistant when you listen to the playback after recording. If this is right, it's probably because you're listening to the guitar through monitors hooked up to your speaker during recording, and the latency is throwing off your playing, making it less consistant than it would normally be. If this is the case, turn off input monitoring in sonar, and monitor yourself through headphones plugged directly into the POD while recording. This will cut out the playback latency from your computer and allow you to hear real time what's being recorded. Hope I interpreted your post correctly, and that this helps. If the playback is sped up (faster and higher in pitch, like an old LP on a slighly wrong speed), it could be that you recorded at 44.1 kHz but are playing back at 48 kHz.
