High Freq. Noise

Hi, I'm recording through a lexicon alpha into Adobe Audition. The thing is whatever I record, guitars, vocals, whatever has a high frequency noise. I've only recorded with mics plugged into the back of the lexicon. I beleive it's somewhere between 9000 and 10000 hz. Anything I do to take away the noise also has the tendency to take away the meat of what I've recorded, especially when dealing with vocals. Anyone have any ideas? What could it be, is it the lexicon? It's still better than plugging directly into the laptop, but the high freq. is killing me.

Thanks, should have thought of that first :freak:

I just looked around the lexicon website and didn't see any info about new drivers, this was a recent purchase so they should be up to date in theory. I did email customer service just in case, but in the meantime anyone with any other ideas feel free to let me know.

After hearing back from lexicon it looks like there are no new drivers needed for the alpha. In addition I've experimented and it looks like the sound is coming from my pc. If I point the mic directly at the keyboard on my laptop I can hear the sound quite distinctly. So I'm bumping this to see if anyone else has a clue how to eliminate this noise. I've tried unplugging the laptop and that didn't work either.
