Thanks I use Ableton with the Apogee Ensemble. It works fine. I'm sure you already know this, but Apogee only work on Mac computers. I've never had any problems with my Ensemble, and it works fine. I have a buddy that uses the Duet on his Ableton setup... it's also excellent. Logic has a seemless integration with the Apogee stuff. It's real slick and nice to use. The two companies work together. You might be interested in a a Logic/Duet setup.
Members jdwhitak
I just came from a Logic setup. I prefer Live for the ease of use and I can easily compose in the session view of Live. By the way, I have the full Live Suite. Cost me $700. I'm not about to throw that money away by switching to something else.

I think it's the best thing ever. However, if you ever want to truly polish your stuff, Ableton is certainly lacking some tools/features. If you're just into making some sketches, and demos... and you don't require any serious mixing/comping/mastering, etc., then Ableton is more than fine. I'd highly recommend the Apogee stuff for this purpose- once (and if) you ever want to take your stuff to the next step, Logic and Apogee makes for a combo of destruction... especially if you're huge into keyboards/midi/samples like me:thu: They compliment each other perfectly. I'm not telling you to switch products or to buy anything new. I'm just reconfirming that your Duet is a wonderful product, and that you *may* want to consider adding Logic to your tool kit in the future. Peace,PB
