I have been trying to configure my mbox 2 to use its spdif out as independent outputs.. can it be done? or will it always mirron the main outs? I have one of those consumer level audio cards with spdif in and out... but they are in mini jack format... how can i connect it to the m box? Thanks in advance. Members UstadKhanAli Posted January 9, 2009 Members Share Posted January 9, 2009 No one has answered this question, and I don't know the answer since I don't use MBox II. With Digi001 and Digi002, you are given a choice in the hardware menu. I use my S/PDIF I/O for a reverb send, going out to a hardware reverb, for instance. Check in your hardware configuration in Pro Tools, and that should tell you whether you can or not. If you have a manual, that should say as well. I cant create a new path for the spdif out in the io configuration... i guess it just mirrors the main out... I am looking how to connect that spdif in the consumer card i mentioned... but it is a mini jack... i have no idea how that works... Thanks again. Have you tried asking DUC? you'll probably find the answer without even posting, and if you do post, you'll get an answer within an hour, I'd imagine.
