Members spencer vex
i would greatly appreciate any help on this ok ima run through how my system is routed then ask a question/s about if further routing is possible TTX turntable and Kaossilator > Rane56 scratch mixer > electro harmonix 2880looper > digidesignMbox > Mac G4 w/Reason and ProTools i wanna replace the kaossilator with Reason and a MIDIcontroller. the main reason i want to do this is to be able to loop Reason with the 2880 looper. the kaossilator is great, but there is just way more power in Reason. my problem is im not sure how to connect Reason to channel 1 of my Rane mixer ive got 2 options 1: use the headphone out of the Mbox to channel 1 of the Raneor2: use the headphone out of the G4 to channel 1 of the Rane im worried about there bein some sort of infinate loop here in the routing that may not be good since the signal from the Rane is being routed to the mbox/computer is it a no-no to then send that signal back to the Rane into channel 1... ? i know using a laptop or seperate comp for reason would be ideal here, i just dont have the budget for that does this make sense? thanks a ton!!! Members spencer vex
there are, but they are going to the monitors. even still ive got the Ranes main out going into the MBox is it ok to go right back into the Ranes channel 1? cuz then that sound is heading out of the Ranes main outs and back into the MBox... or does this even matter? TTX to channel 2 > Rane main outs to > 2880 main outs > both inputs on the MBox (stereo) main outs to monitors and usb to mac... assume i had a laptop with reason on it and i had it going to channel 1 of my Rane and then going to my desktop for recording or whatever... this is exactly how i want it to operate, but i dont have the laptop only the desktop
Members spencer vex
basically can i use the desktop as an instrument and then route that signal back into the same desktop?
