Very sad. I woke up monday morning to find ash all over my car, and the distinctive smell of burnt building in the air. Aardman had a rollercoaster weekend - first hearing that the new movie was no.1 in the US over the weekend, then this. But, as the estimable Nick Park said, when interviewed shortly after, it all pales into insignificance when compared to what has happened in Kashmir.

:(

Heya Dave, howya doing?

Of course you guys crossed my mind when I saw that the building was in Bristol.

Lovely town. Tragic that history like that can be lost.

My most valuable possessions (besides actual living family members) are videotapes and pictures of my kids when they were young. That's irreplaceable. I have to transfer them to DVD and put 'em in a safe deposit box.

Of course you can't do that with a whole warehouse...

That's a shame. :(

Chicken Run was hilarious. And a lot less violent than that other recent Mel Gibson feature... ;)

Glad the Mr. Park has perspective on the matter, though. :thu:

The first words out of Mr. Wilkinson's mouth when he awoke and was informed our trailer full of band gear had separated from the tour bus were, "So long as no one was hurt, it's alright. Gear can be replaced." Fortunately, that was exactly the case.
