Members A_Str8
I don't usually participate in the general forums, but as I was reading the editors intro to the new issue of Electronic Musician, I saw a name that looked familiar. I came to this forum to confirm my suspicion - and its true. Either this forum's administrator was one of the people behind the start of electronic musician or there are two Craig Anderton's out there who are music veterans. just wanted to point out the magazine mention

Members phaeton
Indeed. The Craig Anderton you see here is -THE- Craig Anderton. The Man! The Legend! The 100W Shirts! Problem is, he's often so busy writing articles that you rarely do see him here Stick around though and bump into him. He's a real treat (and so are a lot of other ppl here)
Members jonmatifa
I saw Home Recording for Musician's at Barnes and Noble the other day then notice it was written by ol' Craig himself. Might as well plug it, Home Recording for Musician's @ Amazon I didn't buy it though, but I'll probably buy another one of his books.

I see that book all the time and I've seen it recommended in other HC forums too. I'm about to leave work (and the internet) for the weekend, but Monday I'll check out more of this forum and see what you sound stage guys are all about. Members blue2blue
The ubiquitous Mr Anderton is an 'editor-at-large' for Keyboard Magazine (photo in the masthead and everything). If I recall correctly, he got his start writing how-to articles that led to Ben Franklin's famous kite/electricity experiment...

I was thinking maybe our Craig had a pseudonym... you know all the big writers like Stephen King do it...
Members TrancedelicBlues
I heard he once wrote a book about word processing. I'm still looking for that one... seriously
Members Anderton
It was called "Seven Simple Steps to Buying a Word Processor" and was released on Warner's Books. Yeah, I write a lot I also do a lot with Sound on Sound and Performing Songwriter, and have a monthly column in Pro Sound News that's a blast to write. Their editor, Frank Wells, is a cool guy. Actually if you want a detailed description of what I've been up to, there's a really long and boring bio at http://www.craiganderton.com.

Members TexasJim
Yeah, craig: I always read your columns in Pro Sound News. Most of the time they're over my head, technically, but the viewpoints about trends in the industry(s) and the way things are changing in marketing music are always interesting. The first time I saw your column here, I said to myself: "Where have I heard that name?" So, now I usually check out this site, along with my favorite, Live Sound and Production. Happy New Year! Members Lucky #9
I've got a book here in my bookcase --- Digital Projects for Musicians --- that Craig wrote with Bob Moses and Greg Bartlett that has some very good information in it about electronics, etc. However, for the most part, it appears to be written for the, dare I say it --- GEEK SQUAD --- (no offense, my friend) as in it's way over my head for the casual read/takes some studying and book learnin'; something like an electronics school course, but very enlightening if electronics is your bag. I remember he and Kevin were really nice guys. I found some old Mandrake pictures here.
