Recording Phone Calls though Lap-Top Modem.

Does anyone know of a program that will let you record phone conversations through a modem on a PC laptop?

I have to record some conversations for a consulting gig that I am doing. I have one of those modem connectors that will let me record to a tape recorder, but there are some noise issues and I then have to get it into digital form to burn a CD anyway.

Any help would be welcome.

Be advised Federal law requires that all parties are made aware the conversations are being recorded prior to recording them.

Is that true? I thought is was dictated by state law. Here, the law was always that at least one of the parties needed to be aware that the conversation was being recorded. When did it become a federal matter?

Unless, of course, you are looking for anybody who may someday think about conspiring to help terrorists.....

It's regulated by the FCC.

You could download the free version of Reaper and set the input to your soundcard - the audio of the modem must go through the soundcard so you should be able to record it in Reaper.
