I remember when it came out, they (said they) fed it past a handful of Hollywood special FX guys -- including, supposedly, some who'd worked on "monkey suit" movies and they were quoted as saying, the gait's all wrong for a human, the legs and arms are the wrong length, yadda yadda. But then I read it had been discredited... wasn't it the hoaxters admitted it? The old song "The Biggest Whatever" from the classic Dillards 'crossover' album, Wheatstraw Suite, just came on, coinkidinkally... I wish I could find the lyrics... it's kind of a bluegrass "One-Eyed, One-Armed, Flying Purple People Eater"...
