FREE PARIS!!!

Damn... I thought this was either a hardware DAW giveaway or free airfare... either way I was onboard.

That's what I thought!!!

Here's a good chuckle:

I just found out, the other day, that an old friend of mine was doing the photo shoot with her, the day/night she was busted for driving without her headlights on. He provided an interesting perspective on the incident, albeit not one that absolves the little tart for anything.

He: " I was shooting Paris Hiltion the night she got busted..."

Me: " HA!! Did you use a 12 gauge???"

He: "OH {censored}!! I can't believe you just said that!! I said the same thing to my wife...'I'm shooting Paris Hilton next week. Too bad it's not with a .32' "!!!"

True story.

Paris' attorney:

"I'm shocked, I'm surprised and really disheartened in the system that I've worked in for close to 40 years," Weitzman said.

He said the sentence was "uncalled for, inappropriate and bordered on the ludicrous."

But if this had been you or me, the sentence would have been totally appropriate.

I couldn't agree more. Paris is rich and famous -or at least infamous- and therefore better than the rest of us commoners.

People like Paris are better people. They deserve better. They shouldn't have to be bound by the same things the commoners are.

How much of a "better" person you are is directly proportional to how much financial capital you have access to.

... {censored}... Hilton or not, it is rather stupid to get someone in jail because of a license... and then there are so many drunk drivers out there, with valid licenses.

I mean, it is ok to get a punishment. Money. Community work. Marry a mexican ( :D ) ... Whatever.

... but 45 days in Jail? Come on !!!!

Freedom. Right.

Well... she was driving drunk. Then broke probation. 4 TIMES!!! The excuse being that her handlers didn't tell her the situation right. If this inspires someone to get a grip and handle their life then I'm all for it.

My handlers?

My favorite bit in this:

The Associated Press reports that, at the hearing, Paris Hilton tried to convince the judge that
she only followed the orders of her publicist.

Paris Hilton told the judge,
when asked if she read the mail sent to her about the license suspension, "I have people who do that for me. I just sign what people tell me to sign."

But Paris knows a little something about responsibility -- she fired that publicist. (The hapless and perennially irritating Elliot Minsk, who actually tried testifying in Paris' behalf. Now there's a little soldier.)

I would give anything to see her handed a toilet brush in jail and told to clean her john, first time for everything.
:D

If you tell her to "clean her john" she would probably think you mean shower with the prison guard.

I stand corrected then!

... now, make her marry a mexican. :D

All she had to do was hire a driver...

I mean I get it Paris, you own a Mercedes-Benz Mclaren SLR, you want to be seen in that car as often as possible. I get that. However, you also have to realize that if they'll lock up Martha Stewart, then they will lock up your dumb ass! Hire a driver!! Ride out the suspension in the back seat of a limo, then your back in your ride in no time. Easy peasy. These dumb celebs just don't get it..you have all that money, so just hire a driver when its playtime!

What happens now? My guess, she still gets off. Not totally, but maybe it'll be reduced to serving the sentence on the weekends, community service etc. Suffice to say Paris will be as popular in the joint as she was on the outside. There's not a queen-bull in lock up that wouldn't trade some cold hard cash(jobs, favors on the outside etc) for protection should Paris get into any jailhouse squabbles.

Plus she gets to do a rap album with Snoop once she gets out!

I admire the judge. Does it seem trite? Maybe, but she violated her parole 4 times. See ya! This also could be just a planned blip to get her back on the front page. She was sliding down the scale a bit.

On the bright side, she should fit right in. Going commando is the normal course for prison.

So to speak. :eek::D

Why the hatred?

Sure, it's opinion, but this sums it up.

"It will actually increase her star appeal in a very sick and demented way," said publicist Michael Levine. "There's a segment of our society that's somehow engaged in the soap opera that is Paris Hilton, and this a very compelling plot line in the soap opera."

The hotel heiress who parlayed her party lifestyle into fame, told the judge Friday that she didn't have time to talk with her attorneys about her probation.

"This is a girl who has total disregard for the rules of our society," Levine said. "And she's been rewarded for it."

So all I get is that she's spoiled. Why do people get all worked up over it? Who cares? She managed to eek out some publicity and fame for herself without a lot of real talent, she was born into a lot of money and can party as much as she wants without a care in the world. I suspect people are just jealous of her.

Am I a fan? Not really, other than thinking she looks pretty hot when she's not too skinny. I just think its pathetic when people have all this hatred and anger toward a public persona when they don't even know the person
