RussianRoboCop-that-shorted-out-in-the-r

It's a six foot tall, egg-shaped, mobile crime fighter fitted with video cameras and other sensors designed to relay street intelligence back to crime fighting central in the Russian city of Perm, in eastern Russia.

It was developed as a joint venture between police and city authorities and designed to trasmit images from Perm's streets to police stations across the city.

It was unveiled with great fanfare and hoopla this last week as the answer to Perm's future enforcement needs.

But there was one tiny oversight...

The Russian robocop wasn't water-proofed...

Within only a few hours of its introduction to the tough turf of Perm's streets a heavy downpour of rain flooded out the robot and shorted its circuits, forcing a repair crew to pull it in for a much-needed remedial makeover...

"I'm melting... melting... what a world... what a world..."

_____________

I'm thinkin' that thing would be covered in graffiti in about 20 minutes in some parts of The LBC... and stripped for parts by its lunchbreak.

"Halt! Put down that spray can! This is a lawful order! NO! Put down that spray can! This is your final warning! Do not spray me! NO! Not in my sensors! Nooooooo!"
