Yeah, I don't see anyone cracking a Schlitz Malt and puttin' their feet up. Those folks look like the docs in any ER frantically trying to save a life... but... is that really a real photo? If it is, I'm amazed I've never seen it before.

(If it is for real, I'm guessing it might be in the aftermath of that rally 15 or 20 years ago where the Klan and neo-Nazi groups were holding a big rally down south and a bunch of hardcore leftists and communists showed up -- and when the Klan started shooting at them, they shot back. While the cops sat back and watched. And then tried to arrest only commies -- who ultimately were outgunned. I think the communists lost maybe three people but a number of Klansmen and other Nazi types were wounded... and maybe one killed?)

Well, that massive GSW to the abdomen pretty much takes away all the animosity toward that uniform he's wearin don't ya think?

I guess the doctors felt like, Hey, let's save him so he can enjoy his freshly learned lesson.

Well, he wouldn't learn anything if he died. At least not until he had to have a chat with God...
;)
But imagine when the surgical staff comes in to see how he's recovering...
:D

"Time to remove those sutures!

"Nurse, you grab that loose end and I'll grab this one and -- on the count of three... one... two..."

I could see the post-op recovery room scenario:

Guy comes to; the staff in the picture is sitting around, half-smiling.

"You needed a lot of blood."

"Where'd you git it?"

"Well, I donated some; Jesse over here did, too. So did Marsha and Laylene. Well all did, I guess. Wusn't enough blood in reserves, and d'ain't too many folk gonna come 'round for donations lately..."

"You mean...?"

"Yyyyep. You gots ya some 'nigga' blood in ya now, Grand Poobah."

Everyone erupts in laughter.

"nnnNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...."

You'd hope so, but it seems to me that racists views don't stem from logic... That's kinda how prejudice works, with a lack of logic. Racists offten seem to try and explain their prejudice on a logical grounds but anyone without those views can easily see how the logic doesn't stand up at all.

I doubt this experience would honestly change his views.

My bull{censored} alarm went off as soon as I saw this. Would an ER team leave his hood on or any head gear on anyone? Usually the the EMT's start cutting off clothes at the scene of the accident and the emergency room people finish. I don't think so.

Well if its real and he survived, I think he learned his greatest lesson.

Would be nice to think so, but it's just a little too Hollywood, him realizing the error of his ways after having his life saved by the people he hates...

If it is real tho, it's a marvellous illustration of freedom and open-mindedness in action on the side of saving lives, regardless of whose they may be...

Wasn't there a black lawyer years ago who was the only one that would take the KKK's case to get them their own TV show or channel?!??! Didn't care what was on it, just believed in their rights to air their views. That must've pissed them off too...!

Yeah, same here, but so far, I can't find anything anything on Snopes or the other hoax-busting web sites.
