I'm not a football -- or any spectator sport -- fan (and, in fact, was unaware of the clock/lateral pass/etc rules) but that is SOME kinda play...

After watching it (NPR turned me on to the vid, of all things) I was amazed to see that not only was it a totally amazing play but that the other team had been beating them until that crunchtime moment... while I was watchig it, it seemed like the soon-to-be-victorious team was just dancing around the other guys -- but, clearly, they were a lot better matched than my untrained eye suggested.

I love the play by play... he really tries to maintain his composure but his color guy (whose brother was on the winning team) was going so utterly nuts he had to raise his voice... and then -- like anyone probably would have -- he just got caught up in the amazing improbability of what he was seeing...

Truly a delight.

That is certainly the longest play I'ver ever seen. The Cal Stanford one with the band on the field is still the best, imo -- nowhere near as involved, but the band, I mean, come on...

And this...THIS is the most amazing, historic American football finish in the history of Amercian football history. Be sure to watch it all the way to the end of the video

Hey, Trinity is where my daughter is going to school!

Notice where the opposing team players are giving up - either too exhausted or disgusted to keep chasing the ball....

I havent' seen anything like that since I was a kid playing football with the neighborhood guys on the vacant lot.

Can't imagine how the losing team felt after that one.
