Anybody use a TerraTec EWS88D card?

Well.. there's your problem. This card does not have ADAT ports. It has SP/DIF in & out, and 8 analog ins/outs. You'll need to tell the card (via software) to sync to the SP/DIF input else you'll probably get weird problems.

 

You can get drivers (the one that worked best for me had a version number of 1.25 or similar) from the terratec website. If you can't find them there, PM me and I'll email the install file.

The only way I can get it to record tracks from the Fostex deck is to set the card to ASIO and that's not right. How do you sync to the SP/DIF input?

Once you get the driver software installed it puts a control panel into your programs menu. Fire that up & go to the settings tab, then set the sample rate to external.
