Members aeon
Once done, hours later, serve with some nice, crusty artisan bread and some butter. To drink, perhaps a fine Belgian ale in spirit of the stew. Enjoy! cheers,Ian
Moderators Lee Knight Posted October 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 2, 2008 That sounds kick ass. I made something interesting last night. White fish and shrimp in tomatoes. In a crock pot. Easiest thing in the world. Take a couple of large cans of tomatoes. One small seasoned can of tomato paste. Plop them in the crock pot. Add your fish of choice. Salmon works too actually. 4 or 5 or 6 cloves of garlic. Smash them with the broad side of a knife and toss them in. A pack of any type of mushroom you like. A couple of bay leaves. A yellow pepper. A whole mess of chopped celery. Salt and Pepper. Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. 30 minutes before you serve it toss in some precooked frozen shrimp. Serve over some nice rice. A baguette to soak up the sauce. Dang! Next time I'm going to add some clams, scallops and wine for an easy faux cioppino.
