Members Geoff Grace
Kontakt 3.5 is now in public beta stage, and registered Kontakt 3 users may download it for free. The beta will expire on July 1st, 2009, and Native Instruments state that they will make the official 3.5 update available before then. As with any pre-release version, stability is questionable. Members danika
Tempting. I've been running out of memory a lot lately when I use Kontakt. They're promising big improvements in memory utilization. Unfortunately, 3.5 overwrites 3.0. Betas are betas. I think I'll keep freezing tracks for a couple more months. Members amplayer
I have been beta testing Kontakt for the past few months. The memory server is NOT the only new feature added. Make sure to review the new features. It's loaded with lots of cool stuff.
Members Geoff Grace
Thanks for the info, Andrew. I should have probably put "Public Beta Now Available" in the thread title, rather than "Beta Now Available." By the way, there's already a fair amount of user feedback over at v.i. control: Kontakt 3.5 64 bit available Looks promising. Very promising. Members mejondrum
the new Kontakt 3 public beta is more stable than ever in Pro Tools 8 here. No more weird glitches and clicks with loading certain patches. The regular non-beta Kontakt 3 always ran good in Logic Studio.
