Is it possible to run a Mac program on a Windows machine

I don't know of a program that does this. AFAIK, there just isn't enough demand for somebody to make one.

However, if you have a Mac, you can run Mac programs on the Mac partition and then use Boot Camp to run real MS Windows in another partition.

Except that someone already did and Apple sued them.

Google Psystar Corporation.

I don't think this is at all what Angelo was asking for. Yeah, Psystar and OSX86 Hackintoshes can run Mac OS, but he was asking to run a Mac program on a windows machine, not to run the whole Mac OS on clone hardware.

FWIW, I have been very tempted to build a Hackintosh myself. The only reason I don't is because I just don't have the time I'm willing to spend for it right now. Before Psystar was successfully sued by the Jobs Apple machine, I was tempted to buy a Psystar OSX machine, and the reason I didn't was because I figured it was only a matter of time before "the Apple machine" made it an unusable option. Actually, I guess people who have Psystar Hackintoshes still have a working system for now, unlike those who have been shut out of Snow Leopard on their Intel-Atom netbooks.

Apparently Jobs hates the Atom just like he hates Flash. Go figure.

I really like Mac OS, but I simply hate many of Apple's secretive and closed marketing policies.

Even now, I'm in the market for a new desktop. I'm waiting for a new Mac Pro to come out with 6 cores per processor. However, rumor has it that Apple will force us to use an expensive Xeon solution even though the core i7 980x is only about USD 1000. I understand that Apple wants to use the same mobo for the 12 core and 6 core versions, and that this is the reason. Still, it sucks because those of us who can get by with a mere 6-core Mac Pro will pay way more for it. And ... there's no Psystar to the rescue to give us a reasonably priced version of the same thing. F'ing Apple! I often think about just abaondoning Mac altogether.

Supposedly it's possibly to install OS X on a Windows virtual machine, but I haven't tried it.

It definitely violates Apple's license agreement, isn't necessarily easy, and might not even work that well, but it should be possible.
