Members Musichead
Greetings all....... Good to be back on HC. Could some of you help me find a good honest place to have a vintage microphone fixed? I was given an old EV V2 ribbon that is in great condition but can't get it to work for me. I've never had the chance to record with a ribbon. Also (I know this a stupid question) why is there a green colored circle with an arrow on my post envelopes. I must be doing something differently or maybe screwed up some where. Anyway thanks again for all your help. Cheers! Markus
Members Zooey
Interesting question. The ribbon restorers I've personally heard of are Steven Sank and Michael Joly. Michael Joly is at: http://www.oktavamod.com/ . Sank is involved with the Cloudlifter, which has been receiving great reviews lately. The guy from Shinybox (Jon?) may also take ribbon restoration projects. The green circle on the envelope is there to indicate that it's a thread you have created and/or posted in. Moderators Lee Knight Posted March 9, 2012 Moderators Share Posted March 9, 2012 How about someone who could repair an AKG D12? I've got one just sitting here waiting to be fixed.
