Members KingAnimal
In your opinion what is the best drum solo.I would have to say mitch mitchells solo on "jam back at the house" from woodstock
Members gcdrummer
The best one I've heard recorded is in YYZ by Rush on Exit Stage Left.
Members Sir Enrico Buttcock
It's not a very flashy solo but I like what Herb did on Jellikit from Primus' Suck On This. Kinda raw sounding.

Members Matchbox Killer
I think the drum solo for "In the Garden of Eden" was one of the best that I've heard. Not because it was hard to play, but because it was so damn long. I don't think any band has a drum solo that is so long on their record. And, if you have heard Tool live, you would know how awesome Danny's drum solos can be.
Members DRUMZZ
That's real simple anything by BUDDY RICH,TONY WILLIAMS,ALPHONSE MONZON,BILLY COBHAM,BOZZIO,DONATI,WECKL,nuff said. And I might add anything by the most incredible new drummer (perhaps the undisputed champ) THOMAS LANG. Members goreDNknot
A drum solo is like a sneeze. You know it's coming, but you can't do anything about it.

Members Val Graffa
Chris Galaas on Michael Schenker's 25th anniversary box set. Track #8 "Into the Arena". Starts out with a bass guitar duo. Awesome. Anything from Carl Palmer works too. I also agree with Neil Peart(All the World's a Stage...) Oh hell, there's too damn many of them out there. I'M SO CONFUSED!
Members HuskerDude
The solo on Dave Brubeck's "Take 5" has always been a favorite of mine.
Members mattieb
Go download Tony Jr.'s solo from KaZaa- it's a video this kid is 12 years old and simply amazing, ifhe stays on track, he will be one of the greatest ever... he's got that left hand cymbal wash up & down perfect. He's still a bit choppy on his transitions, but the overallsolo is well thought out, melodic and a technical display that rivals most drummers two or three times his age. don't miss it.
