new dw snare

I just went to a local drum spot and checked out snare drums for a few hours because my other snare is at the factory being repaired. I looked at the 5.5x13 pearl brass sensitone, a 7x12 pearl maple snare and this awesome dw 5x14 copper collectors snare. My friend who works at the store was helping me find a snare under 300.00 and i ended up really liking this 5x14 dw copper snare. Ended up buying it m(it was only 275.00) anyway its a great snare...anyone else have one or another copper snare? It seems to have a lower pitch and more body to it than most snares even tuned very tightly!! I put an emporer on it and it sounds awesome. also goit a pair of the vater david silvera sticks and they are massive. almost like a marching stick but thinner... good rebound and definition the nylon tip is like grape sized. anyway im outta here... later
