Members mR.dnA
$600 for drums AND cymbals? You have no choice but to go used. Otherwise stick with the CBs and save up...

Members mR.dnA
Oh yeah, I misread it. That's what I get for zoning in the forums at work I dunno - maybe a Pearl Export or Tama Rockstar would be right around there. OR the used advice still stands too - you could probably get a really nice set of just drums for less than 600 used that would be better than new Exports/Rockstars. For instance my main kit is a sweet sounding Rogers 5-piece that I picked up for only 400 bucks (hardware, retrofitted RIMS mounts and everything)... Members magooly
Go used, I saw a Yamaha RC9000 on ebay with the Yess mounts go for 675. Used is the only way to get a 1000 dollar set for
Members Newman
There's a great deal on Yamaha stage custom Advantages on Musiciansfriend.com. A five piece kit for 599 and free shipping. Either that or try a mapex M series. They are great sounding drums. I personally dont think much of the Pearl exports.
