My drummer is looking for a new set to replace his CB's. We play metal music, and he doesnt want to spend too much money. 600$ or cheaper. he has cymbals and everything else. help him out! :D

Oh yeah, I misread it. That's what I get for zoning in the forums at work :D

I dunno - maybe a Pearl Export or Tama Rockstar would be right around there. OR the used advice still stands too - you could probably get a really nice set of just drums for less than 600 used that would be better than new Exports/Rockstars. For instance my main kit is a sweet sounding Rogers 5-piece that I picked up for only 400 bucks (hardware, retrofitted RIMS mounts and everything)...

There's a great deal on Yamaha stage custom Advantages on Musiciansfriend.com. A five piece kit for 599 and free shipping. Either that or try a mapex M series. They are great sounding drums. I personally dont think much of the Pearl exports.
