Members dgboggs
What is the best method to tune a drum?? I know that you go from one side to the other, on around. I have an Evans Torque key to get it close, then tap my finger about an inch from the hoop/tension casing. What I mean is, should they be tuned pretty tight? Should the bottom head be tuned the same tension as the top? More? Less? I have Terrio Bozzio Signature Attack heads, and I want a nice smooth and warm resonance. I saw a group on SNL last night with Ms. Dynomite (not that I like the music), but the drummer's set sounded REALLY GOOD. I want to make mine sound like that.
