Members gtprice
Can someone help me out with this problem because Roland claims I don't have a problem.Since I first purchased my Roland V Drums the TD-10 unit has had 60 cycle hum when I plug a cord form any output into any amplifier. I have tried different cords, different amplifiers, different AC sources and even purchased a UPS and plug into the battery side in hopes that there will be some kind of filtering for the AC.Nothing works yet Roland will not accept the problem. My only other choice is to open up the TD-10 and provide shielded wire to some of the signal wires in the unit itself.Does anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks, GPricegtprice@rogers.com
Members MikeD
Might be obvious, but do you have a dimmer for your lights anywhere in the room (or in a room close by)? Maybe try taking the kit to a friend's house and see if you have the same problem.
Members mkcee
Use 2 TRS cords (as opposed to the standard 1/4" cords) with a Direct Box between them. Sounds like you have a ground loop. A good direct box will have a "ground lift" switch, which will interrupt the ground loop and take care of the problem.
