My hat sizzle and tom quest progress

For anyone following all these questions I'm posting, for anyone who's looking to pick up some insight if they're also in my situation or anyone else who's just wondering how this stuff is coming along from my beginner's fresh perspective and learning experience....today has been a progressing day.

My hat problem was I was trying to get the chick chick sizzle properly but with a lot of trial and error, I had few, and inconsistent results...well today after I added the cowbell attachment to the cymbal stand near the hat stand....and moved stuff around, I found I had to move the hats a bit to the front direction of the kit...but with the bass slave pedal sitting there I had to move up and left a bit, heading away from me...which I thought would be awful....but it was probably a good move.

Right now I'm kind of forced to only hit the hats with the tip of the stick and the edge of the hats, in natural position, unless I want to move specifically to do something more fancy...and so my striking is consistent angle and attack force now, plus the foot pedal I now have to use totally heal up, and my foot is coming at the pedal about 30 degrees left of center, the way I had to place it so the floor tripod wouldn't hit the slave bass pedal etc....so with this foot position, I find I have more control on it, and with the consistent sticking, I'm getting sizzle 90% of the time instead of 9% of the time, right on cue.

And my tom head thing....these single ply coated ambassadors are so far my best purchase. I still have the pinstripe and emperor heads sitting around with the stock hazy, one day maybe I'll go back to them and find I know how to set them up properly...but I'm happy right about now with things....time to add the 10 and 14 toms???
