What's a good way to reduce snare noise from vibration?

We play about 20 yards apart in a large concrete basement of a warehouse - our drummer's snare sizzles buzzes really badly from the bass and guitar amps, and he's adjusted the snare wires away from his drum skin as far as he'd like.

is there something else we can do to lower the buzz?

zero rings probably won't do the trick here, but perhaps something else?

Is the buzz coming from the bass amp or the other drums? I've been able to reduce buzz by cranking the {censored} out of the four bottom lugs closest to the snare beds only; alternatively, he might try loosening those four or just cranking the {censored} out of all of them on the bottom. If it's caused by the other drums, he might be able to tune them out of the snare's resonance or vice versa. If its from the bass amp, there might be nothing he could do short of taping the snare's resonant head(not my favorite solution.)

Some times at band practice I can reduce the buzz on my snare, without compromising the sound quality to much by taping a small square of toilet paper under the snare wires. You will have to experiment with how much paper to use, but I use about 1 square folded up. You need to tape it too, or it will fall out; I use as little tape as possible.

the bass amp thing might not work so well, since the thing is one of those 500 watt ampegs with 8x10's - just the fact that it's within 20 yards of it probably makes the drums freak out.

the toilet paper square is definitely do-able, so hopefully that's all we'll need there.

the problem is, my drummer uses hot sticks, and tunes his skins to be very sensitive to lighter strikes, so we're probably going to have to deal with it..

thanks for the tips though guys. appreciated.
