Members sgrocker77
Sorry for asking more questions then anyone on the whole forum but..... what all do i need for a "full set"?
Members SonicDeathMonky
It's all up to your personal preference. I consider a "full" set to have four toms, two snares, a bass drum, and a variety of cymbals all over. However if your Terry Bozzio, you might consider a full set to be large enough to take up the space of a high school gymnasium. If you're in the White Stripes a full set might be considered a cow bell.

I'm always cracking my gongs...I've tried cymbal springs, lighter sticks, lessons...everything. I finally decided it's just easier to buy 'em in bulk and crack the living {censored} out of them. By the way, a 'gong' ain't a 'gong' if it isn't at least 60" in diameter.

Members 2FunkyInHere
I am fairly certain that everybody on this forum's drum kit is a work in progress, so, as for it being "full", it may have to do with what style of music you happen to be playing. The stuff I play doesnt require 8 concert toms, so, I would consider my 4 piece vintage gretsch set up full for my needs.

And along with that kitchen sink, a few old kitchen pots and pans might not sound to bad either. Just stick em somewhere. Duct tape and super glue can make anything work.
