Members delgado
Hi, Now that I'm no longer programming my battery drum tracks via the keyboard, but by means of a Roland SPD6 pad and actual drumsticks , I find it odd there's no single add-on midi trigger module for foot-operated kickdrum, with the full register of midi verlocities. Sure you can plug a foot controller into the SPD to play kick, but it'll give you yes or no, not 0-127, unusable for musical purposes. I hope I'm wrong here: but modules like the Roland KD-7 or 8 don't have a midi out, do they? Is there such a thing? just a single pad that can receive full-range midi data and pass it on to a sequencer? Thanks Alexander
Members groovy_seagull
sorry alexander.... hasn't ahppened yet. the simplest way to get a trigger-midi interface is the TMC-6 from roland. no pad has a midi out on it.
Members delgado
Thanks for the reply.Would such a Trigger-Midi interface also work on a pad like the kd-8? Is there a Trigger to Midi converter like the TMC-6, but with less channels? Given that I only need a kick trigger, 6 is overkill... greetsAlexander
