Members Bob_griese
Hi, i'm new. I'm an intemerdiate guitar player and i want to buy my first drum kit. Considering i'm a beginer playing drums wich one do you think it's best for me a Yamaha Rydeen or a Pearl Forum FX725HC.
Members armitage787
both of these drum sets are mahogany wood, so there is no difference there. I tend to like the yamaha hardware better than the pearl hardware. Although the difference between two entry level kits is very little. Both of these kits are great starter kits. The other thing i like better about the yamaha is that it has a wood hoop for the bass drum. it is something that i would prefer, but when you are buying a starter kit it can be dangerous because it stands the chance of warping. So my conclusion is pick the drumset witht he best wrap. lol jk. I would go with the yamaha personally.

Members ArtVandelay
The Pearl Forums are OK. I've heard very good things about the Rydeen as a value kit.
Members Snake
All of the major entry level kits are about equal, IMO. Pearl Forum, Yamaha Rydeen, Tama Swingstar, Sonor 1005, Mapex V, etc. - all solid beginner kits. Get which ever one you can get the best deal on. Or better yet, get a used intermediate kit. Members Locky
hey man,i work at a music store to i see alot of kits.. i'd go with the pearl forums... main reason being that on the toms of the rydeen there is only 5 tunning points instead of an even 6. the forums are an excellent deal.
