Members paleblue Posted January 24, 2006 Members Share Posted January 24, 2006 I am in the middle of trying to program a song with a Boss DR-670. I need 1 beat after the chorus pattern. Just a crash and then into the verse. I can't do a 1/4 timing so i try a 2/4 timing. Well the 2nd beat just doesn't need to be in there. Even with the tempo all the way up its not working. See if you can make that one measure 5/4...that'll give you the extra count. If you have any sequencer software, you could probably operate the drum machine from a sequence you've created on your PC. Don't know if you want to consider that route, but if you do, check out Anvil Studio (Google for it)...it's a freeware sequencer. It has a very intuitive user interface for rhythm tracks. I can't tell you the details of how to get it to work with your drum machine (short of plug a midi cable between them and make sure the channels match), but it shouldn't be too difficult.
