Members RobWild
Sorry to bother y'all again but..... Now that I got the china out of the way, I was thinking about getting a splash. But there's one thing: will one splash work? Obviously it will make noise and all, but is it better to spend that extra cash and get two and have that wider range of noises? Also, do you think it would sound good to hit a tambourine and a splash one right after the other? Kinda supid questions, yeah, but thanks anyway in advance for any responses. Members slickrick1688
I say go for 2, because i like to use both of mine together.
Members Zeromus-X
If you plan on playing the splash rapidly in succession, two would be a good idea. They're pretty cheap, and splashes are inherently thin and fragile -- hitting it twice quickly is making it bend even more than usual (the second hit isn't while it's at rest, it's typically while the cymbal has its full force vector headed the opposite direction). Members RobWild
I was kinda leaning towards two as well. Thanks for the advice.

Members bodinski
I use a 10" Evo splash & 12" Wuhan china splash together. They play well off of one another.

I'd like to get the Mike Portnoy Max Splash set when I get the money. That has a 7", 9", and 11". Anyone used those particular cymbals?
Members Wideyed Gecko
This whole splash craze... never liked them much myself... Just get one of those little tin monkeys with the two cymbals, wind him up, and call it a day!
