Members ReighIB
After 3 and half years of abuse, my snare drum came apart like a spaceship getting hit by a huge meteor. The bottom head is destroyed and the chain things at the bottom(sorry but i have no idead what they're called!) are wrecked and i dont know how to fix them. What do I have to do to fix it? Or do i have to buy a new snare drum?
Members Locky
well i'd say go buy a new one.but u could by a new resonant head for the snare and get another snare strand(the wire thing). but what about the hardware that mounts everything is that still there and intact? if it is then its easy to replace the other stuff.. if not.. its time to buy a new snare. Members slickrick1688
I really dont know how the hell you broke your reso head or your snares (the chain things you refered to.) but all you need to do is replace both of those.

Members coyote-1
This would be a great time for you to learn how to maintain your drums. All you need do is replace the broken head and the snares. It's as simple as untying strings and loosening tuning pegs, and then reversing the process. Try it!! Members Old Steve
How's the shell? If the shell is ok, everything else on the drum is replaceable. If it's just the heads and snares, you're probably only looking at under 50 bucks or so to get it back into prefectly good condition. The next step is to figure out what the hell you're doing wrong to the point that you're tearing up your drum so bad.

Members rockbeat
Awww...we're just jackin' with ya man. Don't take it so hard. I've actually blown out a couple of reso heads on snares myself. It usually means it's really old, and if you haven't ever changed your snare wires in the 3 1/2 years that you've been playing, of course you wouldn't know how to do it. It's not like any of us were born knowing these things. In case you haven't gotten so pissed off at us that you have stopped monitering this thread, exactly what do you mean by your snares being wrecked?
