I know there is a pressure point right there but i was wondering if anyone knew a way to get around it, or if anyone else has it.

I checked out your myspace stuff to kind of get an idea of your style. Playing with those huge monstersticks should give you pain:thu:

In all seriousness whenever you start having pain you need to examine your technique. I am guessing it is probably comming from playing hard with to tight a grip. Hard to say forsure with out me seeing you play in person. Sinse this pain appers to be recurring it is a good idea to figure out a way around it before you start doing permanent damage. Pain is a good indication you are doing something wrong.

I would suggest you check out the Moeller Technique. Jim Chapin teaches it. It will allow you to play with the same power and keep up the intensity for your live shows without hurting yourself.

or do some research on good grip and stick technique. Try not to hold the sticks to tight, the muscle between your thumb and pointer should really stay relaxed. you don't want it all tight.

Without getting into a stick control dissertation;

I use big long sticks and I would be hard pressed

to give up that effortless fatness but as much as possible,

I'd try and stay out of the inertia. You gotta go with the mass instead of forcing it. Like juggling without letting go.

Anyway the rest is that dissertation.
