Members BLS_1
What type of music are you playing? If you are a hard hitter or play a type of music where drums are more prominate i would suggest the power center (power center reverse dot if you use brushes). Members blinz
I use the Evans Genera HD Dry and it's perfect. Nice crack with just a tiny bit of ring. Don't neglect the bottom head for getting the sound you want also.
Members 47milesbarbwire
Just put new Evans heads on my Ludwig Supraphonic, Genera Dry with a Hazy 300 on the bottom. I was always an Ambassador guy until now, but the Genera really controls the ring without killing the tone of the drum. I'm thinking Bonzo had silver dots on his kick and toms, but I just can't remember what was on his snare...???
